BIO-CENTRE is firmly committed to quality and has a Quality Management System (QMS). Every year, the laboratory undergoes an audit carried out by a certified external company, which verifies and certifies compliance with the requirements established by the ISO 9001:2015 standard.

BIO-CENTRE participates in international external quality assurance programmes:

  • Biochemistry and Microbiology Programmes for External Quality Assurance for Clinical Laboratories of the Spanish Society of Laboratory Medicine (SEMEDLAB)
  • External Quality Assessment Programme in Haematology (LEECH) of the Spanish Society of Haematology and Haemotherapy (FEHH) and the Centre de Diagnòstic Biomèdic of Hospital Clínic.
  • Unity Interlaboratory Program (Bio-Rad)
  • Food, Water and Environmental Microbiology Programme. PHE (Public Health England)
    BIO-CENTRE uses internal quality controls on a daily basis to verify the proper functioning of its analysers.
  • BIO-CENTRE has an integrated analytical and administrative management software system (Silverlab), which ensures the traceability of all its pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes.
  • BIO-CENTRE has SilverWeb: an online results consultation platform, available permanently and exclusively to its clients.

Our quality policy is based on continuous improvement, safety, information confidentiality and compliance with applicable requirements, in line with the principles of ISO 9001:2015.

The quality of our service is the result of planned prevention and continuous improvement actions across all stages of the care process. We work to ensure the quality of care, the traceability of processes, and the reliability and speed of results.

This commitment is largely based on the human and professional values of the people who form part of our team. We promote ongoing training, the involvement of all professionals, respect for their work and the ability to encourage improvement proposals that arise from within the organisation itself.

At BIO-CENTRE, quality is a responsibility shared by all areas and by every person in the centre. Each professional is responsible for their own work, while Management undertakes to promote this policy, establish quality objectives, provide the necessary resources and review its implementation and effectiveness.

Likewise, BIO-CENTRE ensures the proper maintenance of its facilities and equipment, safety and order in the working environment, compliance with established schedules, and professional, careful and respectful care at all times.

We also undertake to comply with all legal, regulatory and contractual requirements applicable to our activity, especially regarding confidentiality, data protection, patient safety and the quality of service provision. Likewise, we carry out our activity taking into account regulations and recommendations related to environmental impact.

With the aim of constantly improving accessibility and proximity of service, BIO-CENTRE is progressively expanding its network through the opening of new collection centres. This growth reflects our commitment to bringing healthcare closer to patients, facilitating access and offering an increasingly convenient, efficient and accessible service.

Finally, BIO-CENTRE provides its patients with channels to collect opinions, suggestions and complaints, understanding them as a useful tool to continue improving.
